What's the difference between regular plans and Group Thread?
Think of regular RallyText plans like a smart pager: coaches send, members receive, and individual replies come only to staff. Group Thread turns it into a true two-way system — members can text a keyword and the whole group gets the message, with no one seeing anyone else's phone number. Regular plans handle one-to-many broadcasts. Group Thread handles many-to-many conversations.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your dashboard at any time — no contract, no cancellation fee. You keep access through the end of the billing period you've already paid for.
What counts as a message?
Your plan's monthly SMS count covers two types: outbound broadcasts (each recipient counts as 1 — so a broadcast to 20 members uses 20 SMS) and individual inbound replies (a member texting back to a coach counts as 1 SMS in). Group thread conversations — where members can text a group keyword and everyone in the group sees the exchange — use a separate credit pool through the Group Thread add-on, since both inbound and outbound legs are billed by the carrier.
What happens if I exceed my monthly messages?
Messages above your plan allowance are billed at $0.025/SMS at month end. We email you a warning at 80% of your limit. For predictable high-volume usage, upgrading your plan is far more cost-effective than per-message overage.
Do annual plans save money?
Yes. Paying annually saves roughly 25% versus monthly. The discount applies to every paid plan and add-on.
Is a dedicated phone number included?
Yes — every paid plan includes a dedicated local 10DLC number for your team. No separate $10/mo number fee.
What happens with long messages?
Long broadcasts that would otherwise be split into 4+ SMS parts are automatically delivered as a single MMS. Your members see one clean message instead of multiple pieces arriving out of order, and the underlying delivery cost stays predictable. No extra fee — MMS auto-upgrade is included on every plan.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade from Settings → Subscription. Plan changes prorate automatically through Stripe.
Do you offer discounts for nonprofits or schools?
Yes — registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits and K-12 schools qualify for a 10% discount. Email
